You will meet at 4.00am at the Malta International Airport to check-in your KM Malta Airlines flight (KM612) departing at 6.10am and arriving at Fiumicino Airport at 7.45am. Direct transfer Civitavechia port to embark on MSC Lirica.
Today the ship will berth in Livorno, Italy. Livorno is a port city in Tuscany, Italy, known for its maritime history and diverse cultural influences. Founded in the 16th century, it became a free port, attracting international trade. Key features include its busy port, Renaissance and Baroque architecture, and the canals of the Venezia Nuova district. The city is famous for seafood dishes like cacciucco, a fish stew. Livorno is a gateway to the Tuscan coast and nearby attractions like Pisa and Florence, offering a mix of modern industry and rich heritage.
On your third day, MSC Lirica will stop in Marseille. Marseille is France’s second-largest city and the capital of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, located on the Mediterranean coast. Founded over 2,600 years ago, it has a rich history as a major port and trade hub. Known for its vibrant multicultural atmosphere, Marseille blends French, North African, and Mediterranean influences. Key landmarks include the historic Old Port, the Basilica of Notre-Dame de la Garde, and the contemporary MuCEM museum. The city is also famous for its seafood, particularly bouillabaisse, a traditional fish stew. Today the ship will stop at Palma de Mallorca. Palma de Mallorca is the capital of the Balearic Islands, Spain, located on the island of Mallorca in the Mediterranean. Known for its stunning beaches, historic architecture, and vibrant cultural scene, the city blends a rich history with modern appeal. Key landmarks include the Gothic-style Palma Cathedral, the Royal Palace of La Almudaina, and the charming old town. Palma is also famous for its Mediterranean cuisine, lively markets, and a mix of traditional and contemporary art. The city is a popular tourist destination, offering both relaxation and a dynamic urban experience.
Next stop will be in Valencia, Spain. Valencia is a coastal city on Spain’s east coast, known for its blend of traditional and modern attractions. Famous for its futuristic architecture, especially the City of Arts and Sciences, Valencia also boasts a historic old town with landmarks like the Valencia Cathedral and L’Oceanografic aquarium. The city is the birthplace of paella, and its Mediterranean climate makes it a popular destination year-round. Valencia is a vibrant cultural hub with festivals like Las Fallas, beautiful beaches, and a growing food and arts scene.
This is your day to relax and enjoy MSC Lirica onboard activities and take in the scenic views from the deck.
Today the ship will berth in Cagliari the capital of Sardinia, Italy. Known for its stunning Mediterranean coastline, the city features a mix of ancient history and modern charm. Key attractions include the historic Castello district, the Roman amphitheatre, and the beautiful beaches of Poetto. Cagliari is also famous for its vibrant local markets, Mediterranean cuisine, and rich cultural heritage. With a warm climate and a laid-back atmosphere, it serves as both a cultural hub and a gateway to exploring Sardinia’s natural beauty.
Return to Civitavecchia, where your cruise will end. Direct transfer to Fiumicino Airport to check in for your flight back to Malta scheduled to depart at 9:00 pm.
