Your guided coach tour begins at the port and takes you past such historical buildings as Columbus’ birthplace and the 13th-century Palazzo San Giorgio, then continue down the seafront Corso Italia to reach the picturesque Boccadasse district. You’ll pass through the residential neighbourhood of Albaro and catch glimpses of Piazza Tommaseo and Piazza Vittoria as you head for the historical Piazza de Ferrari, Genoa’s main square. BCNAG – PANORAMIC GAUDÍ | Duration: aprox. 3 hours |

**Available on Explorer package 1**

Do not miss your chance to immerse yourself in the fascinating world and works of Barcelona’s premiere architect: the world-famous Antoni Gaudí. After leaving the port, your tour will take you down the beautiful Passeig de Gràcia avenue: your coach will drive by Casa Batlló, a flamboyant building that is covered in thousands of multi-coloured tiles, and by Casa Milà, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Next reach one of Barcelona’s key tourist attractions: Gaudi’s unfinished Neo-Gothic Modernist masterpiece, the Sagrada Família. Standing outside the site, your guide will tell you the facts about Barcelona’s most important monument. This epic creation started after a bookseller’s 1872 trip to Italy, but it was with Antoni Gaudí that radical changes began. The church takes on a decidedly modernist look with nature as its inspiration. Gaudí died in 1926 with the basilica only 20% complete. Construction was later suspended during the Civil War and Gaudí’s plans were burned by Anarchists. However, after the war the construction was resumed by Gaudí contemporaries. It was consecrated by Pope Benedict XVI in 2010 – even though it’s still under construction. Your Gaudí’s experience concludes with the return to the port.

Please note: all visits will be external. Guests of limited mobility are requested to evaluate their personal level of stamina and ability before taking part. Due to traffic restrictions around the area of the Sagrada Familía, the bus will stop close by and guests must walk approx. 10 minutes. We suggest wearing comfortable shoes. Guests will be required to return their audio guide equipment to their tour guide in perfect condition at the end of the tour. Guests will be charged for any damage to or loss of audio guide equipment.

Continue to one of Barcelona’s iconic symbol, the Sagrada Família, Gaudí’s striking yet unfinished neo-Gothic masterpiece, which you can see as the coach passes by. **Available on Explorer package 2**

This flavourful look at the city of Naples begins with a 30-minute walk from the port to the heart of Naples: Piazza del Gesù Nuovo. See the Spire of the Immaculate Virgin and have an external look at the Baroque Church of Gesù Nuovo, both built in the mid-18th century, and at the 14th-century Basilica of Santa Chiara, famed for its early Gothic style. You’ll cross Spaccanapoli – literally “Naples splitter”, a name that derives from the fact that this street is very long and seems to divide that part of the city – en route to Piazza San Domenico where the second Spire of the city rises. Continue along Via San Gregorio Armeno, home to countless artisans crafting nativity scenes and the place where you will taste a pizza, served neatly folded up (“a portafoglio” in Italian) and eaten standing up or walking in classic Neapolitan style. The walk back to the port concludes your Neapolitan experience.

Guests with any type of food intolerance are required to communicate it to the Shore Excursions Office at least two days before the call.
