The ship offers a program of activities and entertainment and a detailed list of these will be left daily, in the form of a journal, in each cabin.  After dinner, the cruise director opens up the evening entertainment with a show. The casino, discotheque and all bars open till the early hours of the morning.

Saturday

First stop for this cruise will be at the port of Invergordon (Scotland). We are offering an optional excursion to;

LOCH NESS PANORAMIC – IVG07 [Duration 3:30 h]

Take a trip to Loch Ness, one of Scotlands most popular destinations and the site of an abiding modern monster mystery. After leaving Invergordon, a comfortable coach will take you along the Cromarty Firth, a North Sea inlet, for a first brief stop at Beauly en route to the village of Drumnadrochit, whose elevated position affords spectacular views of Loch Ness, the UKs largest body of freshwater by volume. However, the lochs greatest claim to fame is its alleged star resident: the Loch Ness Monster, aka Nessie. Thought by some to be one of a small group of otherwise extinct plesiosaurs, Nessie has fuelled the imagination of countless explorers ever since the story broke in the early 1930s. Have your zoom-lens camera ready for a shot of the elusive creature you would make history if your photo proved Nessies existence. The route then continues along the main road flanking the loch, with more stunning scenery before you reach the loch-side Clansman Hotel about as close as you can get to the water without needing a boat. As one of the prettiest spots Loch Ness has to offer, this is the perfect place to take some more photos before you return to Invergordon.

Please note: limited number of guides in languages other than English. Should a tour guide for your language be unavailable, the tour will be in English only.

This tour is not suitable for guests using a wheelchair; to reach the panoramic viewpoint at Clansman Hotel it is necessary to climb steps.

GLASGOW SIGHTSEEING TOUR – GRK01 [ Duration 4hr]

British Empire for much of the Victorian and Edwardian eras. Nowadays, Glasgow is a vibrant multi-cultural locale and one of Europes top financial centres. Your city tour begins at the heart of Glasgow in George Square, the site of various statues, before continuing for an external viewing of the impressive Gothic-style St. Mungos Cathedral, which is said to have been built on the spot where Saint Mungo, the patron saint of Glasgow, once built a church. A stop will be made in the area known as Townhead for a short walking tour that will give you an outside look at the medieval Provands Lordship, Glasgows oldest building dating back to 1471, and the Museum of Religious Life and Art. En route to the beautiful district known as Kelvingrove, home also of the gorgeous red-brick palace housing the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, you can admire several examples of Charles Rennie Mackintoshs inspired architecture. Continuing with a drive through the citys main park, your tour of Kelvingrove will culminate at the university for an outside viewing of the wonderful historical buildings, which lend this venerable seat of learning a distinctly medieval flavour.

Please note: limited number of guides in languages other than English. Should a tour guide for your language be unavailable, the tour will be in English only. Guests using a wheelchair are advised that they must be accompanied by a paying helper to provide assistance with getting on and off the coach and that wheelchairs must be collapsible/foldable since the coach has neither a ramp nor a lift. Tuesday

Ship ports at the city of Dublin (Ireland) at around 08:00. For today we suggest the following excursion:

DUBLIN HIGHLIGHTS – DBL01 [Duration 3:30 h]

Enjoy the highlights of Dublin on this panoramic sightseeing tour, whose route will take you past the old Parliament House (now the Bank of Ireland), St. Patricks Cathedral Irelands largest church and Dublin Castle. The tour also provides views of the Four Courts, a majestic structure dating back to 1785 and now the home of the Irish Law Courts. You will then pass by Customs House, which was built between 1781-1791 and epitomises the great era of prosperity and elegance that Dublin experienced in the latter half of the 18th century. The tour continues over the River Liffey via OConnell Bridge, takes in the splendour of OConnell Street and then heads for Leinster House, the stately mansion now housing the two chambers of the Irish Parliament. Originally erected for the Duke of Leinster in 1745, the building oddly features two very different façades: the Kildare Street side resembles a large town house, whereas the rear, looking on to Merrion Square, is styled in the manner of a country mansion complete with sweeping lawns.

Please note: limited number of guides in languages other than English. Should a tour guide for your language be unavailable, the tour will be in English only. All the sites will be visited from outside. Guests using a wheelchair are advised that they must be accompanied by a paying helper to provide assistance with getting on and off the coach and that wheelchairs must be collapsible/foldable since the coach has neither a ramp nor a lift. Guests using a wheelchair who would like to participate in this tour are requested to contact the Shore Excursions Desk promptly once they are on board so that arrangements can be made.

After passing the citys principal sights including the University, the Opera House and St. Fin Barre’s Cathedral, the tour continues with a visit to the lovely village of Blarney and Blarney Castle for a step back in time.
