The principal streets are lined with fashion houses and department stores stocking top-quality Irish goods. DUBLIN HIGHLIGHTS – DBL01 [Duration 3:30 h]
Enjoy the highlights of Dublin on this panoramic sightseeing tour, whose route will take you past the old Parliament House (now the Bank of Ireland), St. Patricks Cathedral Irelands largest church and Dublin Castle. The tour also provides views of the Four Courts, a majestic structure dating back to 1785 and now the home of the Irish Law Courts. You will then pass by Customs House, which was built between 1781-1791 and epitomises the great era of prosperity and elegance that Dublin experienced in the latter half of the 18th century. The tour continues over the River Liffey via OConnell Bridge, takes in the splendour of OConnell Street and then heads for Leinster House, the stately mansion now housing the two chambers of the Irish Parliament. Originally erected for the Duke of Leinster in 1745, the building oddly features two very different façades: the Kildare Street side resembles a large town house, whereas the rear, looking on to Merrion Square, is styled in the manner of a country mansion complete with sweeping lawns.

Day at sea on board of the MSC MERAVIGLIA.
The ship will enter at Invergordon Port, Scotland, United Kingdom at 8AM.
Our suggested excursion for today is
IVG07 – LOCH NESS PANORAMIC
Duration: about 3.5 hours
Take a trip to Loch Ness, one of Scotland’s most popular destinations and the site of an abiding modern monster mystery. After leaving Invergordon, a comfortable coach will take you along the Cromarty Firth, a North Sea inlet, for a first brief stop at Beauly en route to the village of Drumnadrochit, whose elevated position affords spectacular views of Loch Ness, the UK’s largest body of freshwater by volume. However, the loch’s greatest claim to fame is its alleged star resident: the Loch Ness Monster, aka Nessie. Thought by some to be one of a small group of otherwise extinct plesiosaurs, Nessie has fuelled the imagination of countless explorers ever since the story broke in the early 1930s. Have your zoom-lens camera ready for a shot of the elusive creature – you would make history if your photo proved Nessie’s existence. The route then continues along the main road flanking the loch, with more stunning scenery before you reach the loch-side Clansman Hotel – about as close as you can get to the water without needing a boat. As one of the prettiest spots Loch Ness has to offer, this is the perfect place to take some more photos before you return to Invergordon.
This tour is not suitable for guests using a wheelchair; to reach the panoramic viewpoint at Clansman Hotel it is necessary to climb steps.
The ship will depart from Invergordon at8PM.
