These seven lakes cover an area of 138 hectares and six of them are linked. From here we will continue on our way to Split where we will visit Diocletian’s Palace, the Marina and the historical centre.  We will also have some free time to visit the town’s market. Dinner at the hotel (extra).

Buffet breakfast and whoever wants can join us on an optional excursion to Medjugorje.  Today the town is best known due to reported apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary which appeared to six Herzegovinian Croats and is now visited by pilgrims from around the entire world as a shrine. We attend mass at noon and afterwards we will proceed on to see the miraculous crucifix.  Some free time in Medjugorje and back to the hotel in time for dinner (extra).

Dinner at the hotel (extra).

Buffet breakfast.  Another full day optional excursion, this time to Montenegro.  Our first stop will be in Kotor, a coastal town in Montenegro and one of the best preserved towns in the Adriatic listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.  The natural beauty of the Gulf of Kotor and the old town of Kotor have made this city a very popular destination with tourists.  Our excursion continues to another coastal town Budva, however, on the way we will make a short photo stop near Sveti Stefan, the seaside town popular among celebrities.  The coastal town around Budva is the centre of Montenegro’s tourism and is well known for its sandy beaches, nightlife and Mediterranean architecture.  We will have some free time to visit some of the shops in the town.  Back to the hotel in time for dinner (extra).

After breakfast we invite you to join us on an optional excursion to Mostar, the biggest and most important city in Herzegovina. Situated on the Neretva river it’s a symbol of Ottoman architecture with the main highlight of this being the city’s symbol ‘The Old Bridge’.  Destroyed during the Bosnia-Herzegovina war it was lately re-built and listed under the UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 2005.  We will cross over from the West Bank to the East over the historical bridge where the oldest mosque in Mostar is found, the Cejvan Cehaj Mosque.  An Old Bazaar can also be found here.   We will proceed to the modern part of Mostar, where the shopping centres can be found.  Some free time for shopping. Dinner in the hotel (extra).

Buffet breakfast.  The day’s optional excursion will first take us to Kravice to admire the magnificent waterfalls. From here we drive towards Blagaj, famous for being the source to Buna River and its monastery, which has the elements of a Turkish style and currently a national monument which attracts tourists.
