Saturday

We will meet our tour leader at Malta International Airport at 18:00PM to check in for our direct Air Malta flight to Dubrovnik at 20:20PM. We are due to arrive in Dubrovnik at 21:45PM where we will then board our private coach which will take us to our hotel, Hotel Sunce.

Sunday

Buffet breakfast in the hotel. Today we have an optional day excursion to Split. En route to Split, we will make a stop at Bacina Lakes where we will have some time to admire the splendid natural beauty of these seven different pools. In Split, we will visit People’s Square and also Diocletian’s Palace, which is an ancient palace built for the Roman Emperor Diocletian at the turn of the fourth century AD, that today forms about half the old town. Free time at leisure in Split. Return to the hotel for dinner (extra).

Monday

Buffet breakfast in the hotel. The optional excursion today is to Medjugorje, where we will go to the top of the hill where on June 4th 1981, six children from the same village saw a vision of the Virgin Mary. Since then, this area has attracted millions of visitors from around the world which today offers a sense of peace and serenity to those who visit the hill where the vision took place. Just a few metres away from Medjugorje Church, we will also visit a crucifix which is believed to be miraculous and one can see ‘water coming out from the legs’ of the bronze statue of Jesus Christ. Return to the hotel for dinner (extra).

Tuesday

Buffet breakfast in the hotel. Today’s full-day excursion is to the town of Mostar. This is a town which formed part of the Ottoman Empire and has the Neretva river running through it. We will cross the historical point which connects both sides of the town, where one can also find a typical Turkish market and view the impressive mosque which dominates the area. We will then move on to the modern part of Mostar where today there are brand new shopping complexes perfect for a spot of shopping. Dinner in the hotel (extra).

Wednesday

Buffet breakfast in the hotel. Today will be a long day on this optional excursion, visiting the natural beauty of Montenegro. During our journey, we will stop at the famous fjords of Montenegro and also stop in the medieval town of Kotor. Continuing on to Sveti Stefan (Saint Stephen), we will have a golden opportunity for some perfect pictures of this stunning little island. We will then spend the rest of the afternoon in touristic town of Budva. Dinner at the hotel (extra).

Thursday

Buffet breakfast in the hotel. Today’s optional excursion takes us on a visit of the majestic cascades of Kravice. We will then continue on to Blagaj, home to the impressive cliffs some 200 metres high, hugged by the Buna river. Our last stop will be Pocitelj, a fortified town during the Ottoman Empire which is dominated by the local mosque which overlooks the Neretva river. Dinner at the hotel (extra).

Friday

Buffet breakfast in the hotel. The optional excursion today is to Dubrovnik, a charming medieval town on the Adriatic coast surrounded by fortifications and high ramparts, which is also often referred to as ‘the pearl of the Adriatic’. From Dubrovnik, we will make our way to Cavtat, a seaside town, where will will spend some time admiring the coastline and its surrounding beauty.

Saturday

After our buffet breakfast, we will head out on our final optional excursion to Korcula, which is believed to be the possible birthplace of the explorer, Marco Polo. On our way to Korcula, we will have a stop at Ston, known for its salt industry, its seafood and for its impressive old fortifications in the mountains. We will then continue on to Orebic, where we will board a local ferry (fare included) that will take us to the island of Korcula. We will visit the historic town centre and also see the house which is believed to be where Marco Polo was born, and also St. Mark’s Cathedral. Dinner back at the hotel (extra).

After dinner, we will make our way to Dubrovnik International Airport to check in for our direct Air Malta flight to Malta at 22:30PM. We are due to arrive at home at around midnight.
