You will meet your tour leader at Malta International Airport at 2.15PM to check-in for your direct Air Malta flight departing to Frankfurt at 4.15PM.  Upon arrival  at around 7PM, your coach will transfer you to check-in to the 4* hotel situated in Strasbourg- Best Western Plus Monopole Metropole

After breakfast, you can join an optional full day excursion along the Wine Route.  You will start with a visit to Colmar, the home town of sculptor Frederic Bartholdi the creator of the Statue of Liberty. Colmar is a town with many attractions and an undeniable charm all its own including half-timbered houses, canals and the flower-decked town centre. It offers all the intimacy of a medium-sized town and a remarkably diverse range of heritage sites.  You will then proceed on to the medieval castle of Haut-Koenigsbourg (entrance included) which dates back to the 12th century.  Return to the hotel after the excursion.

After breakfast, you can join an optional excursion to the Rhine Falls and Isle of Mainau. The Rhine Falls are the widest plain waterfalls in Europe. You will have time to stroll around and one can also take a boat ride should they wish (extra).  We will then proceed to the Isle of Mainau (entrance extra), a garden island and a model of excellent environmental practices. Besides the beautiful flowers, there is a park landscape with views on the lake. There is also a greenhouse with a tropical climate and thousands of butterflies.  Return to hotel after the excursion.

After breakfast, you can join an optional excursion to Mercedes Benz Museum (entrance included)The Museum celebrates the automobile invented by Carl Benz in 1886: it relates its history and tells its stories, bringing both alive by placing them in the context of technology, day-to-day life, social history and popular culture. More than 160 vehicles of all types are the main protagonists. They range from some of the oldest automobiles ever built to legendary racing cars and futuristic research vehicles.  You will then proceed to Stuttgart City Centre.  Stuttgart is the 6th largest city in Germany.  It is known as a centre of mechanical and automobile engineering with the headquarters of the world famous Bosch, Mercedes and Porsche within its metropolitan area. That said, it does not resemble most other industry hubs, as it is a rather sparse city spread over many hills and valleys, with forests, parks and even vineyards within the city. Stuttgart has a very compact city centre with most destinations within walking distances. You can visit the 1.2 km long pedestrian shopping street called “Königstraße” which leads through the heart of the city, passing the Schlossplatz with the amazing New Palace, to the Rotebühlplatz (Stadtmitte). Other main sights (e.g. museums, opera) are just around the corner. (Any entrances are to be paid at the ticket office).  Return to hotel after the excursion.

After breakfast at the hotel, you can join an optional excursion where you will enter the Black Forest region.  Our first stop will be in Triberg, a town that actually lies in the middle of the Black Forest. The first cuckoo clocks originated from here, so whoever wishes to acquire one of these, Triberg is definitely the best place for them. This town is also home to the largest cuckoo clock in the world. In Triberg we find Germany’s highest waterfall (entrance extra and there is a substantial number of steps involved).   From here we proceed to the spa town of Titisee, surrounded by a lake of the same name.  Free time so that you can enjoy this heavenly place.  Return to hotel after the excursion.

After breakfast, today’s optional excursion will take you to Heidelberg.  Heidelberg is a city that will capture your heart.  The city has so much to offer: charm and character in abundance between the Old Bridge and the mighty castle, an unparalleled choice of culture and entertainment, hearty yet heavenly cuisine and a picturesque setting nestled between the Neckar River and the foothills of the Odenwald forest.  (Should you wish to visit the castle, it has to be paid at the ticket office – extra).  Return to the hotel after the excursion.

After breakfast, you can join an optional excursion to the Europa Theme Park,  (entrance included) for a thrilling day out. Europa-Park is the largest theme park in Germany and the second most popular theme park resort in Europe, following Disneyland Paris.  The Europa-Park is located in Rust, in south-western Germany, between Freiburg and Strasbourg, France.  The park is home to twelve roller coasters, the oldest being the Alpenexpress Mine Train, where a powered coaster speeds through a diamond mine, – and the newest coaster being Arthur, a suspended indoor/outdoor powered rollercoaster and dark ride combination. Europa-Park has a very high capacity of rollercoasters and attractions meaning the park can accommodate up to approximately 50,000 guests per day.  Return to hotel after the excursion.

After breakfast, you will have some free time to visit the city of Strasbourg. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Frankfurt International Airport for your return flight departing at 7.55PM with an estimated arrival time in Malta at 10.30PM
